With almost 20 years of professional cleaning experience we’ve picked up a few tips and tricks along the way! Throughout May we’ve been sharing some of our favourite cleaning hacks with our fans on Facebook and now we’d like to share them with you!

microLemon Microwave Magic! 🍋

Lemon juice cuts through grease easily and is one of the most effective ways to clean a microwave. Place the juice and rind of a full lemon in a microwavable bowl, top up halfway with water. Place the bowl in the microwave and turn it on for three to five minutes. The water will come to a boil and create steam that will loosen splatters and grime. Allow it to stand for a couple of minute then remove the bowl carefully (it’s hot!!) and wipe the microwave clean. Voilà!

Remote Controls

When was the last time you cleaned your remotes? Take control today! It’s easily overlooked and easier to solve. Simply rub a disinfectant wipe all over the remote or use a cloth and rubbing alcohol – repeat once a week. Don’t forget the console wands and joysticks, drone remotes and gate clickers.

Whiffy Washing Machineswashing machine 2668472 340

Sometimes even the washing machine needs to be freshened up. We recommend that you do this once every three months to keep it smelling sweet. Mix three tablespoons of baking soda with 200ml of cold water and pour into the detergent drawer. Add vinegar to the fabric softener compartment and run a normal washing cycle. Hey presto…clean, sparkling and odour-free

Removing Crayon on the Wall

crayon cleaning hackWhen the little ones are inspired to create a mural this slightly odd hack works a treat. Spray a little WD-40 onto the marks and wipe with a clean cloth. WD-40 will not damage paint or most wallpaper. You must test the area first. Alternatively use non-gel toothpaste, the tiny abrasive beads in the toothpaste will rub away the crayon every time!

Red, Red Wine

One of our favourite cleaning hacks – tackle your red wine spills with white wine! It really works! Simply blot, soak with white wine, blot again and wash as usual. We’ve even seen this work on a white shirt!
